Pom-Pom One-Hour Wrap
Lion Brand® Homespun®
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES: Because of the nature of working with Speed Stix, achieving an exact gauge is not necessary for this project. Due to the nature of the fabric, gauge may vary throughout the knitting.
Editor’s Note: When creating fringe using Homespun please note that because of the texture of the yarn the fringe will fray when cut. If you prefer a non-frayed look you can knot the ends,
knit or
crochet a fringe, or use hairspray or fray check.

LEFT FRONT
With 2 strands of yarn held together, cast on 12 sts. Work 18 rows in Garter
stitch (knit every row). Place stitches on stitch holder.
RIGHT FRONT
Work as for Left Front.
BACK
Work across Right Front stitches and then Left Front sts−24 sts on
needle. Work 18 rows in Garter stitch. Bind off loosely.
POMPOMS (make twelve 2” [5 cm] Pompoms and two 3” [7.5 cm] Pompoms)
Cut a strip of cardboard the size you want your Pompom to be. Wrap yarn
around cardboard – the more wraps, the fuller your Pompom will be. Cut yarn
leading to skein. Slide a doubled strand of yarn under center of wraps and knot.
Clip loops; remove cardboard. Fluff Pompom and trim ends evenly. Use the ends of
the knotted strand to attach Pompom.
Attach 10 smaller Pompoms across the Back edge and one smaller Pompom at each
Front outer corner.
Make Front Ties by attaching the ends of the knotted strands of the two
larger Pompoms at each Front inner corner, letting Pompoms hang.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. |

| Was easy and fast to make. Decided on fringe instead of pompoms. I made it for an elderly friend and thought the pompoms would be uncomfortable when sitting back in her chair.
