Quick-Knit Cap
Lion Brand® Fettuccini®
GAUGE: 6 sts + 12 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Cast on 30 sts. Work in Garter st until piece measures 5½ inches [14 cm]
from beginning.
Dec Row *K4, k2tog;* repeat from * across row – 25 sts.
Next Row Knit.
Dec Row *K3, k2tog; rep from * across row – 20 sts.
Next Row Knit.
Dec Row K2tog across row – 10 sts.
Next Row Knit.
FINISHING
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. With tail threaded into large-eyed blunt
needle, thread yarn through remaining 10 sts. Pull tightly to secure. Tie tail
into bow for top decoration. Using smooth yarn, sew seam. Weave in ends |
