When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. |

FOULARD Monter 8 mailles. Tricoter à l’endroit 6 rangs (3 arêtes). Rang suivant Maille à l’endroit 1, *enrouler le fil autour de l’aiguille deux fois, maille à l’endroit 1 ; répéter depuis * en travers. Rang suivant Maille à l’endroit, en laissant tomber les enroulements excédentaires depuis la rangée précédente. Maille à l’endroit 3 rangs. Répéter les 5 derniers rangs jusqu’à ce qu’il reste environ 2 verges [2 m] de fil, en terminant après avoir tricoté à l’endroit 3 rangs. Tricoter à l’endroit 2 autres rangs. Arrêter les mailles. |
