GAUGE:

12 stitches + 20 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Seed stitch with 1 strand each of A and B held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

PATTERN STITCH Seed Stitch (multiple of 2 stitches + 1) Row 1 Knit 1, (purl 1, knit 1) across. Repeat Row 1 for Seed stitch.

With 1 strand each of A and B held together, cast on 7 stitches. Work in Seed stitch until piece measures 36” [91.5 cm] or desired length. Bind off all stitches loosely. Feed one end into buckle; fold 1" [2.5 cm] over center bar; and sew end to body of Belt. Weave in ends.
