Shape Shoulder
Bind off 8 (10, 10, 11, 11, 12) sts. Work even on remaining 4 Garter sts until garter tab measures to center back of neck. Bind off.
RIGHT FRONT
Work as for Left Front, reversing shaping.
FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams. Sew short ends of Garter st tabs together and center seam on back of neck,; sew seam. Sew side seams, leaving 6” [15 cm] unsewn at lower ends for side slits. Weave in ends.
TIE
With 1 strand each of C1 and C2 held tog, cast on 66. Bind off. Draw Tie through corner of each Front at beg of Neck shaping. Tie in a bow at center Front.
FRINGE
Cut strands of each yarn approximately 24” [61 cm] long. For each fringe, hold one strand of each yarn together and fold in half. Use crochet hook or fingers to draw fold through edge of Vest, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. Add fringe, evenly spaced, around bottom hem of Vest. Trim fringe if necessary. |
