Knit:Easy
Set your fashion spirit free with two takes on the hippie-chic vest. Choose from short knit version or long crochet version. Fun flowin fringe finishes the look. Sizes s(m,l,1X,2X,3X). Finished chest: 36(38,40,44,48,52). Short knit version uses 5(5,6,6,7,7) balls Moonlight Mohair #203 Safari and 3(3,4,4,5,5)balls Trellis #303 Champagne. Long Crochet version uses 5(6,6,7,7,8) and 4(5,5,6,6,7)balls of the same. Exclusive.

Note: Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.
CORRECTIONS: (applied Nov 24, 2005)
FRINGE
Cut strands of each yarn approximately 24” [61 cm] long. For
each fringe, hold one strand of each yarn together and fold in
half. Use crochet hook or fingers to draw fold through edge of
Vest, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull
to tighten. Add fringe, evenly spaced, around bottom hem of Vest.
Trim fringe if necessary.
