Mitered Unisex Poncho: Knit
Lion Brand® Homespun®
GAUGE: 12 sts + 16 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in Stockinette st (k on right side, p on wrong side). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | M1 (make 1 st) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal thread lying between the needles and placing it onto the left needle. Work this new stitch through the back loop.

HALF PONCHO – Make 2
With A, cast on 15 sts, place marker, cast on 1 st, place marker, cast on 15 sts – 31 sts. After casting on, turn and purl one row. Row 2 K 1, M1, k to marker, M1, slip marker, k 1, slip marker, M1, knit to last st, M1, k 1. Row 3 Purl. Repeat these 2 rows 8 more times – 67 sts. Change to B. *Next Row K to marker, M1, slip marker, k 1, slip marker, M1, knit to end. Next Row Purl. Repeat these 2 rows 7 more times – 16 sts increased. Change to next color in sequence and repeat from * until entire sequence is worked, ending after 16 rows A – 163 sts.Garter Stitch Edging
Change to B. Row 1 Knit. Row 2 K to marker, M1, slip marker, k 1, slip marker, M1, knit to end. Repeat these 2 rows 8 more times – 181 sts. Bind off all sts.FINISHING
Place pieces with right sides together. Whip stitch side seams together. Weave in ends.

| Love this poncho! Use as many colors or just one!! Easy and cute, this poncho is perfect for me because I havent taught myself how to make sleeves!!!
