Circumfrence 60 inches [152.5 cm] at bottom; finished length approximately 14 in [38 cm]

CORRECTIONS: (applied Mar 25, 2005)

Last Row of Back instructions should read:

Repeat last 2 rows 10 more times – 38 sts.

And should by followed by:

Shape Shoulder
Dec Row Bind off 3 sts, work in pattern across.
Repeat Dec Row 5 more times – 20 sts. Bind off.

And Left Front Shape Neck and Shoulder instructions should have the following corrections:

Knit 'Ermine' Wrap

Lion Brand^® Fun Fur^® - Fun Fetti

GAUGE:

8 sts + 15 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with 2 strands of A held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time, to right needle; insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and k them tog.

NOTES:

Body of Wrap is knit with 2 strands of A held together.

BACK
With B, cast on 60 sts. Work in Garter Stitch (k every row) until piece measures 3" [7.5 cm] from beg, ending with a WS row. Change to 2 strands of A held tog.
Dec Row K 2, ssk, k to last 4 sts, k2tog, k 2.
Next Row Purl.
Repeat last 2 rows 10 more times – 38 sts.
Shape Shoulder
Dec Row Bind off 3 sts, work in pattern across.
Repeat Dec Row 5 more times – 20 sts. Bind off.

LEFT FRONT
With B, cast on 30 sts. Work in Garter stitch until piece measures 3" [7.5 cm] from beg, ending with a WS row. Change to 2 strands of A held tog.
Dec Row K 2, ssk, k across.
Next Row Purl.
Repeat last 2 rows 10 more times – 19 sts.

Shape Neck and Shoulder
Next Row (RS) Bind off 3 sts, k across.
Next Row Bind off 2 sts, p across.
Repeat last 2 rows 2 more times – 4 sts. Bind off.

RIGHT FRONT
Work as for Left Front, reversing shaping.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder and side seams. With RS facing and B, pick up and knit 37 sts along Right Front edge. Work in Garter Stitch for 3” [7.5 cm]. Bind off. Repeat for Left Front edge. Cut ribbon in half and sew to inside Front collar. Weave in ends.
