18 sts + 24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Blanket is worked in St st with Garter st (k every row) borders. All squares are knit in St st.
Work each block with a separate ball of yarn.
Twist yarns on WS to prevent holes when changing colors.
Dog motifs are embellished after Blanket is finished.

This pattern was easy to follow and turned out absolutely beautifully. I made it for my grandson's keepsake blanket. Highly recommend it.
