GAUGE: Please see the gauge in the downloadable pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| I bought the kit and knit this hat in a few days (experienced). It was too big for me. Coworkers described it as "hideous" LOL!!! I gave it to a tall blonde I thought it would look fabulous on (like the photo) and she said she loved it but after she moved away (small town) I found it at a thrift shop. LOL!!!! I guess it might be cool in NYC but not in small town USA. I loved it. If it had fit me, I would have worn it.
