GAUGE:

24 sts + 32 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS) with larger needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Knit Lacy Tulip Baby Set Reviewed by monica.korpady on 2010-04-01 **
I am an excellent knitter and this pattern is SO wrong! I was very frustrated with it. The corrections came after I made it and I knew that it was wrong in several places. There was not one direction given earlier on how to sew it together nor how many stitches were required for the collar. The right front is missing the pattern in one row. It truly is beautiful but the errors make it difficult.
