GAUGE:
Please see the gauge in the downloadable pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Knit Perfect Baby Gift Set Reviewed by Denise Carlascio on 2012-05-28
I made this sweater, hat and bootie set, PLUS the Tree of Life baby throw all with one ball of pound of love yarn.
I would make the sweater about 2" longer from the bottom edge to the bottom of the armhole. But I was able to block it and lengthen it a bit.
