Honor the firefighter (or the child who dreams of being one) with this special Wool-Ease throw. Each block is stitched in a solid color after which the images are created with duplicate or cross stitch.
18 sts + 24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Each panel is worked in St st background with cross stitch embroidered motifs.

Knit Commemorative Fire Fighter Throw Reviewed by Myrna Lawrence on 2008-02-11
I am knitting this blanket and rather than duplicate stitch, I am knitting the pattern from the graph. Only problem is, the stitches the pattern calls for and the stitches on the graph do not match up!
