13.5 sts + 18 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

RIGHT FRONT
Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping. With RS facing,
beg armhole/V-neck shaping. Make 1 buttonhole at placket (work 1 st,
k2tog, yo, work 2 sts) opposite marker on Left Front.
FINISHING
Sew shoulders together. Sew side seams, leaving 4 inches side slits. Weave
in loose ends. Sew on button.
