When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. I just finished this sweater last night. It was easy to make and doesn't look as long as the one on the model. I used a different color pattern, but still the cotton yarn. It is very comfortable.
