The Nature in Natural Afghan features an ever-popular tree motif, and this show-stopping afghan is textural knitting at its best. With the chunky-weight yarn, the patterns are quicker to complete and have a more prominent look.

GAUGE:
Please see the gauge in the downloadable pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Downloadable Pattern: Nature in Natural Afghan Reviewed by Jennifer Codding on 2008-01-29
This is a really beautiful pattern--just be sure to look up the corrections before you start!! If you have even basic experience with cables, you should do fine with this. It's not as intimidating as it might look. Instead of the chunky yarn I knitted this with 2 strands of Wool Ease on size 13 needles. It came out a little bigger than the size in the directions, but I really like it. I gave it to a good friend as a gift, and I might make another for myself. It's very impressive looking!!
