Diagonal Cardigan Knit

Lion Brand« Imagine (Old)

GAUGE:

18 sts + 24 rows = 4 “ (10 cm) over St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

STITCH EXPLANATION:

M1 (Make 1): With left needle, going from front to back, lift horizontal thread lying between the stitch on your left needle and the stitch on your right needle onto the left needle. Knit this stitch through the back loop.
DR (Diagonal Right): M1, k2 together, pass the M1 over the k2tog, M1.
DL (Diagonal Left): M1, k2 together through back loops, M1, slip last 2 titches back to left needle; pass the M1 over the K2tog-b, slip the stitch back to right needle.

Downloadable Pattern: Diagonal Cardigan Knit Reviewed by dorothy sommers on 2008-12-30 *
Iknitted this pattern using a size medium. The finished sweater was about a size 20 or xxxlarge. The yarn knits very loose. Its going to charity.

Bad pattern sizing.
