GAUGE: Each rep = 7¾ in (20 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: RIPPLE STITCH PATTERN (multiple of 21)
Row 1 (RS) *K into the front and back of the first st, k 8, sl 1-k2togpsso,
k 8, k into the front and back of the next st; rep from * to last rep, end k 7,
k into the front and back of the next st, k 1.
Row 2 (WS) K.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern. |

AFGHAN
With A cast on 105 sts and, beginning with Row 1, work pattern for 14 rows;
then work 10 rows in B; and 12 rows in C. Continue alternating A, B, and C as
follows: 10 rows in A; 8 rows in B; 10 rows in C; 8 rows in each color; then 10
rows A; 8 rows B; 10 rows C; 12 rows in A; 10 rows in B; 14 rows in C. Bind off
to match cast on gauge.
FINISHING
With crochet hook and RS facing, work 1 row sc, matching colors along side
edges. |

| This blanket knit up beautifully. I used Lion brand wool ease and doubled the strands. It looks harder than it is.
