SIZE: Medium, 1X
Chest: 40 (44) in. [101 (111) cm].;
Length: 32 (35) in.[81 (60) cm].
Note: Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.

Urban Wrap

Lion Brand® Homespun®

GAUGE:

15 sts + 21 rows = 4½ in. [11.5 cm] over St st. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

• Piece is knit from side to side, arm opening to arm opening. • Due to large number of sts, you may want to work back and forth on size 10 circular needle, 36 in. long.

WRAP
BACK: Cast on 106 (116) sts. Work in St st until piece measures 40 (44) in. [100 (110) cm]. Bind off all sts.

LEFT FRONT: Cast on 106 (116) sts. Work in St st until piece measures 16 (18) in. [40, (45) cm] end with a WS row.

Neck Shaping:
Next Row (RS): Bind off 4 sts (neck edge), work to end. Work next row (WS) even. Cont to bind off at beg of RS rows 3 sts once, 2 sts once, dec 1 st once – 96 (106) sts. Work even until piece measures 19¾ (21¾) in. [50 (55) cm]. Bind off all sts.

RIGHT FRONT:
Work as for left front, reversing all shaping.

FINISHING:
Sew shoulder seams. With RS facing, beg at left shoulder seam, work 1 row sc around entire piece.

I dropped down one needle size. Also am adding 2 rows of DC around to take care of curl. Wish I had read of the problems first. I would have slipped the first stitch as if to purl to flatten the edge. Am happy with my results.
