GAUGE: 14 sts = 4 1/4"; 27 rows = 5 1/2" on size 10 needles in St st. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

This pattern is easy and fun to knit.Because its so simple you can do all kinds of things with it. I put daisy chain flowers down the front to indicate were the velcro was. Everyone loved it. It does run a little small its perfect for 0 to 3 months.
