I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the blanket was small (my stitches are on the tight side). I was able to fix the length by adding 2 more sets of Rows 2-6, but the width is about 30". Am hoping that adding the border and blocking will make it wider. It's a beautiful pattern. If I made it again, I'd use a bigger hook (I didn't know there were sizes Q & S).

Like the other commentators state - following the pattern does not result in an afghan that is pictured. The pattern gives an afghan that is much smaller and more tightly woven. Maybe a Q or S hook would work. This should not be such a mystery.

I'm working on this now and it looks much smaller in size than the one pictured above. Don't think I'm going to finish though ... I'll try making it in a different yarn or a different hook. Very disappointed because the one pictured here is very pretty.

I'm doing this now. Maybe it's just me, but it's coming out pretty small. However, everyone who walks by me when I'm working on it says it's wonderful etc., so it will probably just be a lap blanket for my great-aunt.

I'm working on this afghan now but I'm going to do half red and half beige color and border black…We'll see I might now add the 3rd color. It's going okay so far. I'll post a picture of the final product :-)

This is a beautiful eyelet afghan, since I have been crocheting for a number of years, I would find this very easy. Plus, it would be great as a gift.
