I am thinking this may need a border. I made mine with 6-stitch blocks rather than 8. I may try making this from the side on circular needles beginning and ending with a border rather than the messy seam. I am an experienced entrelac knitter, so I use the reverse knitting technique rather than constantly turning the short rows, goes faster. If you do a lot of entrelac patterns, it is a technique you may want to try. Once you get used to it, you will wonder why you ever flipped your work for purling.

love this, worked up fast.
CORRECTION; do not knit length to inch measurement, knit three repeats of complete pattern..otherwise seam will look terrible because pattern will not line up. Complete pattern = six color changes
When you have knit 18 color changes, you will see that the pattern will line up for a nice matching seam!
no point in submitting photo as it looks exactly like this one!

This cowl is fantastic - It just needs a bit of edging to finish it off - Its also fun to knit and really not difficult once you get started. Getting started - and figuring it out is a small challenge.... but once started is easy and looks so impressive - knitters look and can't quite figure it out at first how it is done. Makes you look like a pro... I am now making my 2nd one and will do more for Christmas gifts! Maybe even in Christmas colours
