Bias Knit Hooded Jacket Reviewed by Sharon Amabile on 2014-05-05 ****
I made two sweaters for two children in my family who live far away from me. This meant I had to trust the pattern totally without holding pieces up to the child to get an idea of how the finished product would fit. Each sweater was in a different size. I liked the pattern and the bit of challenge it presented. As I completed the knitting and put the pieces together, they looked really good. I took them to the children and the body fit beautifully. Having said that, the hood fit as if it was made for a child with no neck. It just does not work. At first I said I would just tinker with the pattern and redo it, but I don't have to skill at this point to tackle that demand.

I took this pattern on a long trip in Spring, 2013 and did not know about the August hood correction! I should have checked the site -- I toyed with the hood for 6 months and couldn't make it work! It works now. This is a cute pattern and though I worked it on US3 needles to obtain gauge, it knit up pretty quickly. I knit it once with the Jamie yarn and another with a DK weight yarn.
