Simple beautiful pattern. I've whipped up many as gifts and people love them.

Something is off with this pattern, with only 48 stitches cast on there aren't enough to continue the pattern all the way around, you end up being short a few stitches.

Great pattern for learning how to use circular needles. I loved the outcome!

This is a great pattern. I'm very pleased with my finished hat.

Amazingly quick pattern, and handsome. It takes me about 4 hours, cast on to weaving in the ends(and I'm not a fast knittter). I've made 12 of them in different colors for my Christmas list. I put a pom-pom on top for the girls' version. For casting on, I like the look of the long-tail cast on method. A knit-on comes out too tight, an e-wrap is ok, but a little loose.I made a couple caps in Wool-ease Chunky, just reduce by 4 the number of stitches cast-on, two balls of Chunky makes 3 caps.
