After a friend made this, I gave it a try. My daughter hated it, as it is a shapeless pattern. I took it apart to make it longer, as it was too short to be of any value as a sweater for my 5'8" body.
The benefit of the original pattern is that since it is crochet, it was done in 3 days--most of which was spent on planes. I achieved gauge, just measure something you like and go with that length, buying extra yarn of the same dye lot.

This pattern was easy and fun to make with the Amazing yarn, BUT the sleeves are so deep that they look like dolman sleeves. Unless the pattern is modified to correct this fault, I won't be using it again. With the exception of the sleeves it came out great.

I found this yarn on sale for only $2.00 a skein at a local fabric store, snapped up several skeins and came to your web site. I normally avoid straight double crochet patterns - too boring to make. You can't get bored with this yarn if you tried with all the beautiful color changes. I don't like loose floppy sleeves, so I added several rows with gradual decreases then decreased every few stitches and added a cuff to match the borders - much better. It came out looking like the 1980's batwing style sweaters. I weigh 160lbs and made the largest size. It's a little floppy, but looks great with jeans & a shawl pin.
I would rate this advanced beginner and put it at 4 stars because of the changes I had to make to compensate for the floppiness. The fun color changes are an A plus and I will definitely buy more when I can get it on sale.

I loved how this crocheted up very fast, in one piece with minimal seaming. The amazing yarn really does look 'amazing' in this pattern.

I added one large button in the front closure, and border rows around the bottom to match the collar, to give it a bit more length. Like the other reviewer mentioned, the armholes are quite large.

I gave it four stars because: Although my tension was perfect, the finished garment was much bigger than the reported measurements. My cardigan, made in Mona Loa, is waaaay too big for me, and has been delegated to 'house only' wear. :(

I am thinking of making another one, just in a smaller size.

I made mine with Wool Ease Blush Heather, Rose Heather, and Dark Rose Heather. It is a very easy pattern to follow, but I don't like the sleeves very much. You can't tell from Lion Brand's picture, but the sleeves are actually pretty big around and they are attached to the body almost down to the waist. It's still pretty cute, though. You should make one.

This pattern was awesome. Easy to follow, worked up in one piece. Just beautiful. I used Tweeds & Stripes yarn and J hook. I love how it looks and highly recommend it to a beginner.. it is that easy.

Wonderful pattern! This pattern worked up very quickly. I liked the way the sections were worked to minimize sewing (I do NOT like to join pieces). The recommended hooks worked out well for me. I used Amazing in Ruby and love how the colors came out.
