|As I write, it's November and I'm preparing for rotator cuff surgery. I made this specifically for its asymmetry: I wanted a capelet/poncho that could cover my arm in its sling while leaving my left hand relatively uncovered. I made a few mods -- cast on 132 instead of 88 for a longer piece, used US8 needle for a firmer fabric, made a hood instead of a cowl -- but the basic idea started here. It's a super-quick, super-easy knit and it was perfect for my need to stay warm post-surgery without having to struggle with a coat. I only wish I had had prettier yarn on hand, but at least I have my capelet/poncho.
