Made this for a friend's birthday in Violets. As recommended by another reviewer, I cast on 39 stitches so the width would be a little smaller. I used size 9 needles and my scarf came out exactly 6ft long with 3 skeins. Looks wonderful. Was a bit tedious to knit, but that's part of the fun, right?! Will be very warm. I added tassels too, will hairspray them so they won't unravel too much. Thanks for the great pattern! I recommend for beginners. '

The Violets color was okay. Very pretty but at some points the yarn was brown/black/dark grey/dark green which I thought was ugly and didn't match the color scheme otherwise. I would cut that part out of the yarn if I were to make this project again.

This came out as pretty as the picture modeled on line. I loved the yarn and enjoyed knitting this easy, quick and colorful scarf. I'd like to try several different colorways in this pattern. Great project for a beginner as well.

After a 10+ year knitting hiatus, Lion Brand Amazing yarn lured me back to the needles with beyond lovely colors, incredible selection, excellent price and quick working weight. I truly love this product.

My first scarf in this pattern is in my pic and uses Violets yarn. I decreased the width to 10 ribs instead of the 12 pictured, casting on 39 stitches for the pattern. The color is breathtaking but as many others have commented, even with the smaller width a reasonable length required closer to 2 1/2 - 3 balls. My knitting is to gauge.

The second scarf in Constellation color is well under way. I further modified the pattern since I still found the scarf to be a little wide and bulky (I like to wrap it once fully around my neck). At 8 ribs, casting on 31 stitches, this 4-5 inch width is now perfect for my tastes and 2 balls should be an excellent length.

Thank you Lion Brand for producing such glorious yarn. Please don't ever discontinue it. Would love to see a few more hat patterns for it!

This is an excellent pattern. It is very simple and logical once you get it going. I used it to make a throw but it would work for larger and smaller items.
