I made this pattern into a cowl for my daughter-in-law and she loves it! I'm planning to make about a dozen more for the 2015 Christmas Bizzare. It was so easy to make and knit up quickly too.

This pattern was easy to follow and works up beautifully. I substituted 3 skeins of Baby's First yarn and used size 9 needles. It is so nice and soft! With the yarn substitution the finished scarf measures 7" by 60". The skill level needed for this is listed as "experienced", but it is a very simple cable pattern that could be easily completed by an intermediate knitter.

Love the cables. Looks to bulky for a scarf where I live but will do a shawl by adding another cable row or two of cables, next knitting project.
