This was easy to knit but the tie off at the end was messy. Folding the back legs was not functional I had to re do then twice

The knitting and stuffing and sewing up was super easy. Tying it together was a trick, especially near the end. It doesn't sit just right.

I found this pattern fun to knit and some of our knitting friends did too, except the assemblage proved to be somewhat fussy.

Word of advice: DO NOT stuff this critter as tightly as you would a normal amigurumi. I stuffed mine tight so he wouldn't get that 'droopy' look after being played with, and I ended up with blisters on my fingers from how tight the knots had to be tied to 'suck him in.' The tie on his back legs is very visible and bothers me somewhat, but I'm thinking of ways to make it less noticeable. All in all, cute project!

This elephant was the 3rd thing I've made since I started knitting. The actual knitting was very easy, and I was able to finish it in a few evenings. However, when I went to put tie off the sections, I found that the stuffing had made the tube shorter than the 33 inches the pattern calls for. Also, it was very difficult to tie off the sections for the ears and the back legs without leaving the poor guy looking a bit lopsided.

I made the elephant with a gender-neutral thread for a shower gift, and my friend really liked it, even though it wasn't as well proportioned as the picture.

P.S. I hadn't put the eyes on yet when I took the pictures.
