Flirty Ruffle Scarf Reviewed by P Barbour on 2013-12-11 *****
I'm making this scarf for Christmas gifts in different colors for each person. I've made three so far and they have turned out wonderful. I did double the pattern to 144 ch at the beginning because it didn't look like the scarf would be long enough, plus I thought it would be fun for the girls to be able to double it and bring it through the whole to make a nice large ruffle in the center. It's quick, easy and fun!

I will try to forward pictures!

Thick yarn makes this pattern very tricky. Also I do not think it is nearly long enough. Maybe doubled it would work nicely- but as written it is barely to mid chest just draped over my neck (and I'm VERY petite!). Great idea, but I'd start out chaining atleast 172!! Not 72.

I made this scarf and it turned out just awesome. The one thing I can tell you is crochet fairly tightly. You have to use the least amount of yarn possible when you join skiens or you will run out. I had to pull my last row out and crochet tighter to have enough yarn. It is really close for three skeins. I will try and post a picture later.

I'm just beginning to crochet and decided to make this for a friend, at first I thought it was to short and bulky but it looks great once you put it on.

72 chains is not long enough. I did 82, but it could probably use 92. My scarf does not look as long as the picture. Also the thick yarn is kind of awkward to wear in this pattern.
