I love this pattern although the needles are a bit too short for all the stitches but I could manage. I made it with two strands of wool ease thick and quick charcoal. It is turning out beautiful and really warm

this pattern was awful. the amount of knits wouldn't fit on the needles and there wasn't enough yarn left to do all the fringes. other than that it was easy to do.

I made this for my Step Moms birthday using all pink colors and she loved it. I am just recently taking up knitting and this was super easy and fun to make.

This is a great 1st or 100th project Reviewed by JC Seip on 2010-11-21 *****
I LOVE this project! This is a great 1st or 100th afghan that knits up fast even for a SLOW knitter like myself. I've made scarves, fingerless gloves, hats and socks so I'd consider myself an intermediate knitter.
I knitted one up for my daughter in 5 days while I stayed with her and her husband to help after the birth of my 1st grandchild. I was only able to work on it for 1-2 hours per day and knitting with speed stix takes a little getting used to.
I used a yarn comparable to Wool-Ease Chunky (their nearest craft store didn't carry the colors I was looking for) that gave it a soft feel and a heavy weight to it.
***I knitted the first and last 5 rows as well as the 1st and last 3 stitches of every row to avoid having the throw curl up, as stockinette stitch tends to do.***
When my husband picked me up at the end of the week he was surprised to see I had finished a throw in less than a week since I've been working on an afghan for the past year that still isn't finished. He loved this simple throw so much he asked that I make one up for him to match the colors in our RV.
This project knits up so fast that I will have no problem with getting it done for his birthday which is 2 weeks away. Thank you for this wonderful pattern!
