a great stitch pattern, I found that I had to write down all my rows to avoid any mistakes. Memory is not my forte! I recommended using one colour only, which I didn't and wished I had. the 'fabric' is very thick and durable. Not for blanket or scarf, but ideal for a strong cushion.

This is so nice! Following the corrections it works up beautifully. I used Thick & Quick's Grey Marble because I had it on hand. In the right setting it will be beautiful. However, I really think the stitch will show up better in a solid color. This works up quickly--immediate gratification. As others have said, it is imperative that you keep track of your rows or you will be lost. Otherwise, try this pattern!!

This is an awesome pillow! I almost ran out of yarn, so I quit a bit soon and then blocked it out to 20x20 inches. That worked great! Keeping track of the rows is important. So I put a marker on the 12th row, moving it every 12 rows. Works great! My back didn't close really well, so I added a couple buttons. I also added a twisted cord around the edge. Great pattern!

I first saw this pillow in the Lion Brand Yarn catalog. I use the same yarn, although I couldn't find it in the color Linen at our local craft store, which the pattern called for, so I used Oatmeal instead.

The pattern is definitely an intermediate. You will need to keep careful track of your rows, tallying as you go along. If you skip a row by accident, the pattern will not forgive you. I had to rip it out four times before I figured out which row I was missing, but that's my own fault. It's been a while since I knitted a project, so this was a good way to practice and get back into the swing of it.

Here is a picture of the finished product, which I love, along with another pillow I made, using the same yarn and needles. The pattern I got from Lion's stitch encyclopedia. It's a cable called honeycomb.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the results!
