I really liked this pattern. After having read the comments about the blockiness of the segments, I decided to use different size hooks. I recommend dropping down one size for the hdc rows (dividing, grit, and lacy grit). That kept the scarf more even overall, although the ladder stitch was still a little smaller than the others. The scarf came out beautifully, though. I highly recommend it and as long as you follow the directions, none of the stitches are difficult. An easy project for sure.

even with blocking this scarf looks as uneven as it does in the picture that accompanies the pattern. And sorry, but Fisherman wool is just too scratchy for a scarf.

Nice pattern, but the lacy grit stitch was a little difficult to figure out. I would rate this just above 'easy' as I had to rip out a few times before I really got it. Time consuming to count and switch stitches- this does not finish very quickly.

I really love this pattern. This scarf was the first thing I've crocheted in about 10 years, and had no trouble catching onto the stitches. Definitely recommended for beginners. However, I did have to extend it by two stitches to get the ladder stitch to sit the way I wanted.

I love this scarf. It was so easy to make and I get compliments every time I wear it.

This is a very time-consuming pattern and be warned that the Fisherman's yarn splits very easily and is therefore hard to work with. It does turn out nicely but requires quite a bit of blocking. I wouldn't attempt this as a beginner.

Love this scarf. Easy to make, very warm. I always get lots of compliments on it!

Scarf was pretty easy to make. I did shorten it by one "section" because after repeating all the stitches 3 times it was already very long.

Turned out really nice and look forward to making another one.
