All knitters take note! You can not do a stockenette stich band on anything. It will curl.

I changed directions to garterstich band and had no problem with curling.

I ended up doing a crochet edge to the front and that solved the curling issue along the button edge. Otherwise it turned out very well. I loved the combination of twists and cables.

Cute design but a few issues Reviewed by Kim Shinnick on 2011-01-27 ***
This knitted up very quickly and it was pretty easy to follow the pattern. Mine turned out a bit smaller than I expected it to and the edges along the front ribbing curl up very badly. Another knitter was complaining about that issue on Ravelry as well. Since the cardigan has plenty of stretch and I can slip it on over my head I just attached the buttons and then sewed up the front left and right sides so it looks like a cardigan but is actually a pullover. The cable design is very attractive, but the curling issue needs to be resolved, I'm not sure if its the yarn or just the placement of the buttons.

Not simple, but very worth it Reviewed by laura on 2010-08-31 ****
This vest is absolutely lovely, but the confusing construction and bare-bones pattern explanation can get a little confusing. I hope to make a dress version of the vest soon!
