I enjoyed knitting this in "Beanstalk." I am interested to see how well this yarn wears. Perhaps I shouldn't worry about that, I'm sure my niece will grow out of it before it's worn out. It is easy yet trendy.

I am still a beginner knitter - I've made scarves but nothing more complicated. This was an easy pattern to follow and the sweater looks very cute. I didn't read the finishing directions carefully so I forgot to leave a gap on the side for the tie - just make sure that the inside flap has the longer tie so it reaches around the back to tie at the side like in the picture.

The Baby's First yarn is very soft and finishes beautifully, but it's easier to split the yarn than with normal 2-ply, twisted yarns.

All-in-all, a fun project and my niece could not stop giggling over it! :)

Fairly easy to knit and turned out well. I would definitely make this pattern again. My only problems came from the Baby First yarn. I loved the nylon and cotton mix, but I didn't love the 2 knotted joins in each skein I had--just something to watch for if you use the recommended yarn.

Kimono was a quick knit but the directions for the ties are wrong. One tie should come off the side of the left front not the left front neck shaping.

This pattern was great. Very fast and easy. I made the kimono for my granddaughter in the size 3. I wish I could make this for my daughter in law and for myself. The yarn was so soft and easy also.
