I am very disappointed in this cowl pattern. It is very large, too bulky and heavy. I followed the pattern to a T.

I found that somewhere between this pattern and the Dobbs Ferry Cowl, the more dramatic version, I got just the right outcome. I used 2 strands and all was well.

This project is great for beginners like me and for those who want a good looking cosy garment to keep the winter winds away.It will be great to get on anaf the subway unlike a scarf hanging dwon, and I can pull it up over my head or over my face if I need to. I will definitely make more! Thanks!

This cowl was fun and quick to knit up, and it's beautifully soft, but I would make one change to the pattern if knitting it again: The ribbed bands at the top and bottom of the cowl are quite loose, meaning the whole thing hangs down around the neck and lets in cold air if it's windy outside. Next time, I'll switch to a smaller size needle for the rib and maybe do a k1p1 rib instead of k2p2. Otherwise, a great little project!

I love this cowl. Simple to knit but impressive looking. Very warm without being too bulky. Linen is a great neutral color. I will make this again and again.
