This is a lovely pattern. It's a tiny bit difficult to follow the instructions, but it's fine once you get the hang of it. I do wish more patterns included a schematic...

I'm a beginner crochet made this up in Ambrosia in just a few hours! FUN & QUICK! I had no technical problems with following the pattern instructions (beginner here!!!) Wore it to work the next day with a big purple rhinestone brooch & RAVE compliments!! Everybody loved the soft yarn, the color & the fun zigzag!! ("How'd you do that???") The length stretched & sagged though....but sooooo soft....
Now what to do with all the extra yarn??? I have maybe about 1/2 skein left (I did follow the gauge....)

I love this scarf! I made it in Shaker and it's beautiful. The pattern was easy to understand and I worked 2 extra rows because I had plenty of yarn left, which made it wide enough to double as a light shoulder wrap or shrug. The ripple was fun; if I had enough yarn I would just have kept going and made it a light and lacy throw. I'm sure I'll make it again, and it's a great gift idea, too.

After figuring out the pattern instructions, this scarf was much easier the second time around. Note to beginners: when the pattern tells you to crochet in the chain-one space, it means the crochet in the space made by the chain, not in the stitch.
