Upon completion this is a dress on me. Unfortunately the arm holes were too wide and I had to become rather creative to make it fit properly. Absolutely gorgeous.

I made it more like blouse than dress.

It was pretty easy to follow the instructions.

I had never made such a project before.

I didn't made the skirt seperately but I continued the skirt from the top. That was easier for me to connect the two pieces. I really love my new top.

I made it using a heavier yarn. Big mistake. The bottom seemed big for pattern but that may have been yarn choice too. I didn't want the sparkle so I am trying again with a lighter bamboo.

I found this a very easy top to make. The instructions are very clear. The only thing I didn't like was having to sew seams. I would much rather have been able to crochet it together but this wasn't really a possibility. The skirt part is very generous, which is great because I was deliberately making this as a maternity top.

This pattern was easy to follow and I am happy with the finished garment. I like that you can adjust the fit even after you make all the pieces.
However, I agree with reviewer Shelly Wolf that the skirt part is much fuller than what is pictured. Actually I think this may be a mistake in the pattern: for size small it says to chain 181, and the schematic shows a skirt circumference of 36". But a chain of 181 in the stated gauge would give a circumference of 43". Maybe they mean it's 36" after you add the drawstring belt, but that's not how it's written. I started the skirt with 181, but it seemed way too big, so I unraveled it and started again with 151 (you need a multiple of 5, plus one), with evenly spaced increases, and it worked out perfectly. As written, it would give a very full skirt with gathers on top.

My only other nit-picky comment is that you might want to do a few decreases as you do the edgings, such as skipping the stitch at the bottom of the v at the back neckline, so the edging lies flat.
Overall it's quite a nice pattern.

this was not a difficult pattern, but I think the sizing was a bit off. I had to make shorter than the pattern called for, and the skirt part turned out much fuller than shown in the picture. I still like it and wear it, but the picture makes the style look much more fitted than the actual style turned out.
