I liked this pattern a lot! The colors I chose blended nicely. I used Vanna's Choice yarns in magenta, fern, eggplant, and aqua. The only things I didn't like was that the bag was kinda big and that it's really stretchy, so when I put something heavy in it like a book, the bag kinda sagged. Other than that I loved it!

I've made two of these and love the results. I made a couple of modifications (both minor) but you can see it came out pretty close.

I adjusted the top to closer match the bottom in shape and used different materials. You can get the details on my blog at

I had two major problems with the pattern. First, the suggested amount of yarn was double what I actually used even though I matched the gauge, and the bag turned out to size as described. However, I used only one of each color yarn instead of two. Secondly I found the directions for the strap unclear. The finishing instructions repeatedly referred to "straps" even though there is only one strap in the finished product. I struggled trying to understand the directions and finally called the Lion Brand helpdesk. It would have been much easier if it were noted that there is only one strap in the finished tote bag. In spite of all, the bag turned out nice-looking, and I thank you for the pattern.
