Definitely rolls up a lot. I'm trying to block it now but I doubt it is going to do the job. It looks like such a cute scarf, such a shame.

Definitely add a border or something to prevent from rolling

Well it certainly is easy a complete no brainer , perfect for a watch tv knitter or beginner. I used two different colors of thick and quick and carried one metallic strand thr-out.
Yes it curls horribly like a snake and that ruins the look. It can be de-snaked with some fortitude. You need to immerse the entire scarf in water with a tad of fabric softner, block it flat and roll it up in towel for a few days. Then use on steam irom on the sides. I added a row of slip stitches too along the sides to give it a frame. I think it looks 100% better now. Good luck!

I have been crocheting for years, and am now just learning to knit. I made this scarf using T&Q in cranberry, and it came out beautiful! Great beginner project. In terms of gauge, it came out just as the pattern indicated. Yes, it does curl like a snake, and although I blocked it, it just bounced right back to the snake shape..oh well. It's still pretty, even though it curls..just the nature of stockinette stitch, I guess :)

The scarf does curl like a snake if not blocked. I used a different yarn, same thickness, but I got nothing near the width of the scarf in the picture. 11 stitches for me was about 7" wide.

This scarf comes out like a snake unless it is blocked. I ripped it out and used the wool for the short row scarf which is nice.
