Seed Stitch Trimmed Sweater Reviewed by beatriz on 2013-12-18 ****
My first time knitting a sweater. I followed the pattern exactly without any modifications.
The finishing directions for a beginner need to be clearer.
Under neck shaping it says to put 27 stiches into a holder but it never tells you what to do with it. I picked them up and seed stitched. On the sleeves it says to mark last row but it does not tell you what for.
The sweater fits just like in the picture.

tad too small in some places, too big in others ... Reviewed by Shannon Wingert on 2013-02-03 ***
This is the third sweater I've knitted from Lionbrand, this being the easiest of the three. I used a charcoal gray yarn of the same weight and texture as the recommended yarn and followed the Small Pattern religiously. The finished product came out a bit boxy (sweaters usually are), but I was unhappy about two things:
1. For a "small," the pattern is generous (and I may be understating that!) about waist measurements. I know this is meant to be loose-fitting, but it appears to be more like a "medium."
2. The finished sleeves are much too short, and I even added an inch. Looking at the picture, there appears to be ample sleeve room, but if you follow the pattern verbatim, you're going to end up with 3/4-length sleeves! I would highly recommend ignoring the suggested length and simply knit the length you require.

I made this in largest size, using ombre yarn sport weight. It was easy to make, quick finish, love the seed stitch trim. Every time I wear it to work I get compliments on it.

I made this in a size small - I made my sleeves 21 inches instead of 17 and needed to go buy an extra ball of yarn. It came out really nice!
