I love this pattern! It is easy to crochet & beautiful. I however did not use the organic cotton due to the expense. I used double strands of Vanna's choice in similar colors. It turns out very thick & cushy. My complaint is the same as everyone else's: the sewing is an arduous & tedious task. In fact, I hate sewing so much that I usually avoid multipiece projects. That said, there are a variety of finishing techniques, & if I had it to do over again, I would have used a crochet method to stitch them together, rather than using as the pattern suggests with a needle. But still, altogether stunning.

I made this as a shawl instead of as a throw. I must say that it took a long time to make all those squares, which were not difficult to make, but time-consuming nonetheless and the seaming took forever. The finished product is very lovely, but I rated the project lower because the yarn sheds all over the place and leaves a layer of fuzz on everything. I will never use it again. Such a shame because it was nice to work with and soft to the touch.

I made this throw exactly like it says with the same color yarn. I crochet while I am at work and I have gotten so many compliments on it. Very easy pattern to follow but time consuming which is worth it in the long run. :)

I made this as a baby gift for two different moms. One was for a boy, so I changed the pink for the soft blue color and it turned out beautifully. Both were received enthusiastically, and they were stunningly beautiful. The only reason I give this pattern 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a real chore to sew all those little squares together! By far, the lion's share of time spent on this throw will be the finishing. The squares stitch up quickly, but the finishing is tedious. Still, for someone very special (and who will truly appreciate your labor), this is worth the effort!

I made this for a baby gift and found the finished project to be beautiful. This was my first granny square type of project so there was a bit more sewing than I was used to, but I also made a sweater and booties to match. too cute!!
