I am currently making this afghan and the instructions are exact, you need to follow each line of the instruction or you will get lost.

Shari I suggest you try again, don't give up so easily.

I didn't buy the colors they recommend, just using cream, coffee brown, tan and frost green, it's beautiful and fits perfect in my country setting.

I MADE THIS AFGHAN A YEAR AGO AND HAD NO PROBLEM WITH DIRECTIONS. IT LOOKS LOVELY IN MY SPARE BEDROOM AS A THROW. IT CAME UP PERFECTLY SQUARE. PERHAPS THE OTHER LADY WAS NEW TO CROCHETING.

I am so sorry I bought all the yarn at once to start this project. It is the worst pattern I've ever followed. The picture doesn't show the 2 different colored blocks and there is no way to know how many of each block to do. Also, none of the squares end up the same size and can hardly be called square. I'll be glad if I can finish this off as a decent looking project.
