I used different yarns, but it was easy to make & very cute.

Great, quick pattern! I knocked out 4 in three nights to give as gifts during Christmas. They were a huge hit with the kids & people who received them. I'll be making more, as my youngest daughter is an owl fan. Used some chunky yarn & ended up with a larger owl for younger kids. No matter what yarn you use, it turns out great!

Only took a couple of hours and didn't require much concentration so it was a cute project to do while watching some TV. I used to purple color to stitch along the bottom as well since I like the contrast. The only thing is that for the outer eyes, I'd recommend starting with a magic circle or making the first ch really tight, otherwise when putting the saftey eyes on through so many layers they're likely to pop right through the fabric and the outer eyes fall off. I used the ch2 as instructed then had to tighten the hole in the center by threading some yarn around on the back and knotting it tight. Still a really quick project so it satisfies the desire to see results quickly.

I really didn't like this too much, but my sister loved it, and her dog did even more! So now I have to make another one for her. It is a very easy pattern and doesn't take too long to make. Maybe I'll even make another one for Chicklet! (Her dog)

I made it a little smaller and turned it into a brooch for a friend. It looks great.

Was a little disappointed that it was so small but it still turned out real cute and was fun to make.

This was the first thing I ever made but it was really easy. This is a great pattern to start out with. I had never crocheted in the round before so excuse the eyes. And my stitches weren't as tight as I wanted but i was pretty proud for my first try.
