I did this with my grandchildren, aged 5 and 6 and it turned out great! I even passed it on to some of my friends.

You can use a balloon, too, as the form... just blow up a balloon, put it in a bowl or a disposable cup to keep it still. I used watered down elmer's glue and cheap yarn... bowl came right off the balloon... worked great. Fun but messy project for kids.

i made this at halloween but covered bowl in wrap then covered wrap in upvc glue, before adding wool when dry remove bowl and wrap then cover inside with upvc glue, leave to dry. woked a treat.

Tried this craft with fabric stiffener. Didn't work. Tried it with mod podge. Disappointing results. The form never really fortified enough to actually make a bowl. Cute idea. I really wish it looked like the picture!
