Great pattern. I made the collar with leftover yarns and it worked perfectly. I am not a fan of cowls, but do like dickeys--and this collar. The fit is perfect.

I haven't made the arm warmers yet, but plan on it before winter's end.

My daughter broke her arm a couple of years ago, and cold weather really makes it hurt. I made these armwarmers for her, and they have really made a difference! She loves to wear them with a puffy vest. Love the pattern. Was very easy to follow and worked up quickly!

I love this pattern. I have a knitted collar similar to this, which was brought back from Japan. I wear it all of the time in winter. I live in NYC and get compliments always. Was going to replicate the one I have but will now try this one, done with the right yarn and funky buttons, this could be fabulous. Definitely a pattern to try. I like collars better than scarves, they fit nicely under coats and jackets and when very cold, can be kept on indoors for extra warmth. Thanks Lion, perhaps you guys can post the knitted version next :)

hmmmmm....well I don't know anyone that would actually wear that collar, so I didn't try it. I DID, however make the arm warmers and I love them! My only changes? Crochet the first round in the back loop only for a stretchier upper arm opening and it might be necessary for some to go eleven inches rather than ten before starting the belle sleeve pattern. These are very warm and cute.
