Beach Cover-up / Tunic Reviewed by Kay on 2014-09-10 *
It took some time off from trying this pattern for the 20th time. Row 4 is IMPOSSIBLE to understand. When you ch1, sk 1 hdc, hdc in the next hdc until the last 3 hdc, then hdc in the last 3 hdc and hdc in the turning chain, it throws off the number of hdc you start in row 5. Row 4 is incorrect, so that makes row 5 incorrect. I am going to just do the knit version of this pullover.

I did okay until Row 4, and I became completely lost and had to start over about 4 times. I still didn't get it. The instructions are not easy to understand. I'm more of a visual learner, and it would be nice to see little screen captures or small snippets or some sort of graphic instruction like sewing patterns have so I know what to do for each row.

I used a 100% cotton yarn to complete this project. I had to use a larger needle in order to match the gauge. The outcome was a soft and comfortable cover-up that can be used year round! This is one of my favorite patterns and only takes me about 8 hours to complete and XL.

Beach Cover-up / Tunic Reviewed by Shannon Hopkins on 2011-08-18 *****
I love this pattern! Very easy to follow and turns out beautiful in a multicolored yarn. I used a larger hook for this pattern to meet the gauge needed and since I'm a pocket person, I added two front pockets. My coworkers have started asking me to make one for them in our local NFL team colors.

This is the first "wearable" I have tried. It is a great, easy to follow pattern. I love the way it turned out. Very true to size and falls beautifully. I made mine with out the sleeves
