I am currently knitting this as a "sampler". I am using a different stitch pattern for each color - vertical patterns (cables) for the long pieces and horizontal patterns (moss and garter) for the wide pieces. Can't wait to see it all together! : )

I loved this pattern.I love working with Vanna's Choice yarn anyway cuz it's very soft and her colors are awesome. I made this for my hubby and he uses it for his cat naps and said it's nice and warm.

Loved this pattern. It went together like a dream.

I made two of these throws because the amount of yarn called for was enough to complete 1 1/2. I'd recommend dropping one skein of each color.

I gave the first one to my mom for christmas and she loved it, and then made the second for me because i loved it so much... It's such a lovely and unique pattern though that mine will probably turn into a birthday present for my boyfriends mother. I wish more patterns were fun like this than the easy monotonous throws.

I just finished this afghan and I started it in October. I loved working the pattern and it turned out great! I actually gave it to my hard to please sister-in-law for her birthday.
When I make this again I will get the gauge right and I will pay more attention to making sure the navy insets are all exactly the same: starting and stopping and switching over the yarn colors. I thought it was fun to follow the chart for the stitches and yes I had to pull some back and go again.
I wish I had the equipment to send pictures, because it really does look woven.

I made two of these afghans for Christmas 07, one for my daughter and her boyfriend. They absolutely love them. I loved working with this yarn.
