This pattern is a little hard to understand at first. Once I figured it out it worked great! I have knit 3 pairs of these socks now and everyone that has them loves them.

I'm a new knitter and loved this sock pattern! The 'after thought' heel makes sense after you read through it a few times. A much simpler approach then working socks with gussets and stuff. And using worsted weight yarn is easier to work with then sock yarn, for beginners.

This is a good pattern, very fun to knit! It is a bit confusing at some points, though. It is easier if you have experience making socks!

I would've rated this project as 'intermediate' because of the use of dpns, working stockinette in the round is different than knitting straight, changing colors, picking up stitches and kitchener stitch to finish. However, my knitting teacher helped me at times and I did end up enjoying the pattern and having fun making the footies. It was easy once I got going. The 'afterthought heel' was easy once you pick up stitches. There are many tutorials online of the kitchener stitch to close the heel. I made these for my daughter to wear in her dorm. I think they turned out great and I plan to make more in different colors. I used the wool called for in the pattern. I am a beginner-intermediate knitter who'd never worked with dpns before this project - I had fun making them and glad I picked the pattern! Cindy (p.s. my daughter loved these and has asked me to make more!)

This pattern is very difficult to understand. I consider myself an advanced knitter who has knitted many socks. This pattern needs to be written more clearly.
