This sweater was truly easy to make. First time for me making pockets and picking up stitches to make a neckband and the borders down the front panels. I thought the buttons were fine where the pattern said to place and had no trouble fitting on the sleeves without indenting as someone suggested.

I just made this sweater in Sweet Pea ( a soft green) with multicolored flower buttons. SOOOOO CUUUUTE! Very easy to make. Didn't add the pockets and did not finish the front edges. It is still cute. Can't wait to give it to my neighbor's little one.

I've made this sweater twice, both times without the pockets, due to a time constraint. It knits up very easily. The only problem I had was with fitting the sleeves into the body. The pattern was written with a straight back although the diagram showed indents for the sleeve attachment. The first time I followed the written directions and the sleeves fit very strangely. The second time I followed the diagram and indented and had much better luck. For those of us who are not particularly skilled knitters, a correction to correlate the written directions to the diagram would be helpful. Otherwise, it's a great pattern and makes a really cute, warm sweater.

I adjusted the sleeves and it turned out just right! Very sweet.

i too was unsure about this pattern while i was knitting only because i'm not a fan of garter stitch. i found it very easy to knit but in the end was unhappy with the buttonholes being so far from the edge. when i re-knit the front i'll just place the buttonholes closer to the edge...this is just my preference though.

When I first knitted this pattern, I wasn't sure I liked it even though it was quite easy to knit. After I added the buttons --- BINGO!
Now I love it and will be happy to give it to my new grandson, and plan on knitting it again.
