Shawl Collar Sweater Reviewed by Evelyn M Buffone on 2010-06-04 ****
Beautiful sweater, but as a couple of others have mentioned, the collar is too bulky. The collar makes it a bit too warm around the neck, and if you don't like scratchy stuff, the bulkiness could make it uncomfortable. I made my version with full length sleeves and made it a bit longer, too.

I, too, get lots of compliments on this sweater when I wear it.

Enjoyed knitting the pattern until it came time to sewing it together. The finishing instructions were vague and the collar was way too bulky.

I agree with the last reviewer about the collar. Mine was also huge and I had to fold it twice to make it look okay. I double checked the directions and I followed them exactly. I'm not sure what went wrong!

My shawl seems huge compared to the picture -- uncomfortably bulky and scratchy (the model is wearing a turtleneck!)I'm going to remake the front somehow -- maybe just a regular cardigan. Suggestions are welcome!

This sweater is so great looking, I've made three of them. When I wear it with a cinch belt over a pencil skirt, a get a lot of compliments.

I made this sweater for my 9 year old daughter. I added toggle type buttons on the front and some 2x2 ribbing 5" up from the bottom. Color is Glacier Bay. This is the first sweater I've completed. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, but I couldn't picture how the collar was going to be attached to the back of the sweater until I got to that point.
